Our Story

Our sweet little boy is Thatcher. He faces challenges in his everyday life that many typically developed children don’t face, and these challenges make it hard for him to thrive in ordinary social situations. One condition that he faces is a condition called Sensory Processing Disorder, a neurological condition that affects how he feels senses like touch, sound, and balance. As a result of having this condition, he has behaviors that are different than many of his typically developed peers, and make it hard for him to control and regulate himself, especially in social situations like school. Fortunately, we have caught this very early on, and we have learned that early intervention is key to helping him overcome these neurological challenges so that he can learn to regulate and control himself and thrive and be successful in life.
We have been working with one social coach who has tremendously benefited Thatcher, and she has presented us an opportunity for him to attend a several week deep immersion therapy camp this summer. We have heard about a lot of success from this kind of therapy, but it comes with a price. Having exhausted many financial resources on different therapy to get him to the point he is now, my husband and I are turning to our own hardworking and crafty abilities to fund camp this summer.
When you buy a custom Top Notch Sign, you are helping us raise money for us to send Thatcher to this extremely beneficial camp this summer, which will help him be successful and help our family Thrive.
